Foldables
- Foldables are 3-D, student-made, interactive graphic organizer that can help students organize, remember, review, and learn various kinds of information. A Foldable provides students with a kinesthetic active that allows them to exercise their creativity while reinforcing important thinking skills. Each chapter of Dinah Zike’s book begins with a Foldable that is used as a Study Organizer. They are designed to be used as a study guide for the central ideas and key points presented, but they can also be used for a more in-depth investigation of a concept, idea, opinion, event, or a person or place.

Webquest
- A Webquest is an inquiry-oriented online tool for learning in which a classroom based lesson centers around students exploring and evaluating information from the internet. They are built around materials that have been preselected and approved by the teacher. The goal of the activity is to have students spending time using the information rather than looking for it. The website offers an explanation of the strategy, a demonstration, the chance for exploration, and ways in which to implement it within the classroom.
